For our Stanworth family reunion this year, we went to Zion's National Park. At first we thought it was going to be boring with just the Mountains around us, but it was actually a fun filled fantastic weekend. There was so much to do, and we barley did any of it. Being 20 miles from the nearest "Mom and Pop" store, and not having cell service at first, was a little brutal. But it was actually nice just hanging with the family and not having the normal day to day distractions. I had about 2000 pictures to choose from, so here are the ones the best describe the weekend. Since this was such a long post I did not include the family photo session we all had. Maybe next post. Of course I posted the pictures in the wrong order, but oh well (and most of the pictures were side by side, but now they aren't)
Here they caught a bucket of frogs, they were nasty but the kids love them
Playing in the water
This was as close to camping as it came for us with the fire and roasting marshmallows
Connor is really eating a marshmallow, not the stick-but it looks like it right
Kennedy got a sliver in her thumb. And it was the most ridiculous thing to get out. Never again will we attempt to get one out, seriously a horrible experience for everyone. Well just leave it in, and let it come out on it's own
The older kids got to do a trapeze
Golf cart and dune buggy rides were really fun
4 Wheeling, always fun. Hal whooping LaRee and Tyler's butt in cards
Tyler and Russel rock climbing, and were actually good at it
Everyone went zip lining, and it was sooo fun. 3 year old Connor was the youngest to go, and we were all so proud. That one is a daredevil
The gear is hot looking don't ya think
The first night we did a bunch of relay races. Good stuff is what that was. The adults were hilarious
More hilarious card playing. Kennedy showing off her gift bag from Nana and Poppie
One of two bunk rooms
This is how you go camping, having a theater room and rec room
All 6 bedrooms and bathrooms were so much nicer then a tent and out house.
The kitchen was huge and fantastic to cook in
The living room held everyone comfortably, and having cable was a bonus for sure. With these kind of accomidations, being in nature was actually alot of fun.
This resort had a fun (but really cold) pool with slides and hot tubs. But Hal wouldnt let me take the camera to capture any of it because he was worried it would get ruined. Those would have been good pictures though
