Good Luck Russell!!

A few weeks ago we had a surprise party for Russell who joined the army. We are all very proud of Russell, but let's be honest were scared to death as well. He left Monday for basic training in South Carolina, which is just the start of things for him. Russell is serving "active" duty, which means after all his training who knows where he will be sent (we secretly hope just a desk job somewhere where he will be safe) But we love ya Russ, see you in a few months!

Picture everyone on the other side screaming "surprise", he was shocked especially since we pretended we weren't going to do anything for him

Time to eat

We enlisted the help of Hal's cousin Alaina to make the cake. It tasted just as good as it looks. She is so talanted at what she does. Everyone needs to check out her web site http://thecakegirlalaina.blogspot.com/ and see all her amazing creations

Patriotic appetizers

Veterans Day definitely has a new meaning to us. Thanks to all those soldiers who risk everything for our freedom
